Live Data Entry
|
- The input data are manually typed in at least
twice, in some cases three times, meaning that
these are "live" data-versus
"scanned"
data which are only images.
- The eBookMatrix professionals recreate all
graphics, charts and tables.
- The "live" documentation is fully searchable
data versus scanned data, which are merely images
with no search capability.
- When digitized, typed data take only about
1/1000 of the storage space of that of scanned
images.
- One CD can contain over 300 books (text only) or
volumes at an average length of 400 pages versus
scanned data that would contain approximately only
one half of an average book.
- The typed text is fully scaleable, meaning the
character does not lose sharpness and clarity when
enlarged versus a scanned image, which would become
blurred when enlarged.
- Volumes of data entered on CDs and DVDs
may be linked electronically for full search
capability of entire volumes simultaneously.

Output Quality
|
- The live data is manually entered twice, or in
some cases three times, and the multiple outputs
are matched by proprietary software highlighting
and identifying the discrepancies of the multiple
versions of the entered documentation resulting in
a 99.99 % or better accuracy rates.
- Unlike scanned images the characters do not lose
sharpness when they are enlarged.
- The data storage medium does not deteriorate
over time and does not require any special and
costly climate controlled facility.

Production Rate
|
- eBookMatrix employs 300 employees in China for
data entry segment of business only.
- eBookMatrix has experience in electronic book
publishing business since 1989.
- The current production capacity is 250,000 pages
of data entered per month, this production rate
can be readily expanded to meet any increased
production demand.
- Production capacity analysis There are averaged
400 pages per book. There are averaged 2,000 words
per page, or 800,000 words per book.
- There are averaged 150 pages per graphic
journal. There are averaged 1,000 words per
graphic journal, or 150,000 words per graphic
journal.
- The current production capacity for Green Apple
is about 250,000 pages, or 500,000,000 words per
month, which equivalent to roughly about 600
books, or 1,600 graphic journals, or 800 text only
journals.
- Example : Green Apple just completed an archive
service project within one month for a Chinese
newspaper with 25 years daily issues. Each issue
of the newspaper has about 30 pages. Therefore
25 years x 365 issues/year x 30 pages/issue =
273,750 pages

Space Saving Factors
|
- There are averaged 25 books per cubic foot.
- There are averaged 200 CD's or DVD's per
cubic foot.
- One CD has recordable memory space of 650 MB and
can contain electronic data for about 300 books,
or one DVD has recordable memory space of 8 GB and
can contain electronic data for about 4,000 books.
- Thus, one cubic foot of CD's can contain
electronic data for 1 Cubic foot x 200
CD/Cubic foot x 300 books/CD = 60,000 books
Therefore, the space saving factor for CD's is:
60,000 books : 25 books = 2,400 : 1
- Furthermore, one cubic foot of DVD's can
contain electronic data for 1 Cubic foot x 200 DVD/Cubic
foot x 4,000 books/DVD = 800,000 books
Therefore, the space saving factor for DVD's is:
800,000 books : 25 books = 32,000 : 1
